About Julia

Julia Light is a New York City- based actress, singer, & writer with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Texas Christian University. She is sweet, smart, spunky, and strong, and gravitates towards roles like the class president & the all-knowing big sister— anyone who’s kind, driven, and maybe a bit dramatic.

From a family of entrepreneurs, musicians, poets and painters, Julia’s creative style and sense of humor have developed from years of Carole King records, Jane Austen film adaptations, children’s books, art museum visits, and watching a lot of New Girl. Her favorite song ever is Here Comes The Sun, and that should tell you a lot about her personality.

Julia is in the business of cultivating beauty and telling stories because of the way that film and theatre create compassion and display the fullness of life.

She spends her free time scheming with entrepreneurial friends, hosting dinner parties, exploring The Met, rewatching You’ve Got Mail, rereading The Artist’s Way, and being an honorary aunt to about twenty kids.
